We don’t carry

Most coffee moves from farm to shelf with no one asking hard questions along the way. We ask them. Every origin we carry has been reviewed, cupped, and evaluated before it earns a place with our name on it. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t ship.

Not until we visited a plantation in India. The estate sat us down for a cupping session — we had no idea what we were doing. We just followed along, smelled what they told us to smell, tasted what they put in front of us. And somewhere in that room, something completely unexpected happened.

We fell in love.

We came home to Silicon Valley and couldn’t let it go. We went back to the plantations — spent time learning from the farmers, understanding the origins, asking the questions most people don’t bother to ask. When we finally felt ready, we established Amrt Research, got our own roaster, and started building in earnest. We’re still building — just more stubborn about it now.

The best coffee in the world deserves to be experienced without compromise.

We started with India because that’s where the story found us. But the same standard we apply to Chikmagalur — the same questions, the same cupping, the same refusal to settle — we apply to every origin we carry. Single origins from across the world.
